Our doctors specializing in endodontics use a microscope from the renowned Leica company in their daily work, machine and chemically prepare canals with the use of ultrasound, and fill the canals with warm gutta percha, using the latest treatment protocols. An important element is also insulation with a special rubber dam, which ensures patient safety and good visibility during treatment.

Root canal treatment is a procedure for cleaning the canals from diseased tissue that must be performed when decay and bacteria reach the tooth pulp. For this purpose, we use thin, flexible files and special solutions of disinfecting the inside of the tooth.

Sometimes the simple replacement of the filling ends with root canal treatment, when it turns out that the caries developing under the filling reached the chamber and it is impossible to rebuild the tooth without cleaning it.

With a strong, pulsating toothache, especially at night, as well as with a small but long-lasting toothache, the tooth signals the developing inflammation inside the canals or in the bone – cleaning the inside of the tooth is the basic activity that will reduce inflammation and relieve ailments.

However, not every tooth that requires root canal treatment hurts. Long-term inflammation can cause the tooth to slowly die, which will stop sending stimuli, and bacteria through the canal reach the bone, causing changes around the tooth tip.

Root canal treatment is also performed as a preparation before prosthetic treatment, e.g. in the teeth that are the pillars of bridges or in those on which we then put a prosthetic crown.
